Terms of Use
Good Enough Ballistic · Last updated 28 September 2026
Effective date: 2026-09-28
These terms are an agreement between you and Bravo Solutions LLC (“we”,
“us”), the seller of the Good Enough Ballistic app. They apply to the app on iPhone and Android, to
its online services (sign-in, backup, share links, PDF exports and the Assistant) and to this site. By
downloading, installing or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app. How we
handle your data is described in the Privacy Policy.
In short. The app’s numbers are estimates from what you enter: confirm every hold on a
safe range, follow the rules of firearm safety and the law, and never rely on the app for a shot at a living
target. A 3-day free trial, then a one-time in-app purchase unlocks everything: no subscription and no
renewals. Refunds go through the App Store or Google Play. The optional Assistant needs sign-in, has daily and
monthly limits and may change or be withdrawn; check everything it says. You must be 18 or older, and the app
is offered in the United States only. The app is provided as is, and our liability is limited. This summary is
for convenience; the full terms below apply.
Who this agreement is with
These terms are between you and Bravo Solutions LLC only. Apple and Google distribute the app through
their stores, but they are not parties to these terms and are not responsible for the app or its support (see
App Store terms and Google Play terms).
Who may use the app
- You must be 18 or older and able to enter into a binding contract. The app is not meant
for anyone under 18.
- The app is offered only to people in the United States. You confirm that you are not located in a country that is subject to a
US Government embargo or that the US Government has designated as a “terrorist supporting”
country, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You may use the app only where, and only in ways, that the law allows you to.
- If the App Store or Google Play tells the app that its user is a minor, the Assistant is hidden. If a
parent or guardian withdraws permission for the app through the store, the app stops working, and signing
out and deleting the account remain available.
Where the app is available
The app and its in-app purchase are offered only in the United States, through the App Store and Google
Play. The Assistant may not be available everywhere the app is.
What the app does
Good Enough Ballistic calculates bullet trajectories for target shooting from the rifle, load and conditions
you enter. It shows holds, trajectory tables, a reticle view and range cards, and it keeps a record of your
own settings. It does not sell or advertise firearms, ammunition or accessories. Where the app links to another
site, such as an ammunition maker’s published data, the link is for reference only, and we are not
responsible for that site.
Safety and accuracy
Read this before you rely on any number from the app. The app’s numbers are estimates.
Confirm every hold by shooting at a safe range. Follow the rules of safe firearm handling and the laws and
range rules where you shoot. You are responsible for every shot you take.
- The numbers are estimates. Holds, drops, wind drift, tables, charts and range cards are
estimates from a mathematical model and from what you enter: the rifle, load, sight height, zero, scope and
conditions. Real results depend on your rifle, ammunition, scope, conditions and technique. A wrong or
out-of-date input gives wrong numbers, and the app cannot tell when that happens.
- Built-in data may not match yours. The cartridges in the Library show typical figures,
such as muzzle velocity and ballistic coefficient. Your ammunition lot, barrel and rifle will differ, so
measure what you can (for example your muzzle velocity) and enter your own values.
- Always verify on a safe range. Confirm every zero, hold and range card by shooting at a
safe, lawful range before you rely on it, and again whenever something changes: the ammunition or its lot,
the scope or its mounting, the rifle, the altitude or the temperature.
- The reticle view is an illustration. Your scope’s reticle, its subtensions and, on
a second-focal-plane scope, the magnification at which they are true may differ from the drawing. Follow
your scope maker’s manual.
- Follow the four rules of firearm safety, every time:
- Treat every firearm as if it is loaded.
- Never point the muzzle at anything you are not willing to destroy.
- Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target and you have decided to
shoot.
- Be sure of your target and of what is in front of it and beyond it.
Do not let the app distract you while you handle a firearm.
- Follow the law and the range rules. You are responsible for knowing and obeying the
federal, state and local laws, and the range rules, that apply where you shoot, carry, store or transport
firearms and ammunition.
- Never rely on the app for a shot at a living target. The app is made for target shooting
at paper and steel. Never rely on its numbers, or on an Assistant answer, for a shot at any living target,
including game animals.
- No advice on modifying weapons. The app and the Assistant give no advice on making,
modifying, repairing or converting firearms, ammunition, suppressors or accessories, and no handloading or
reloading data. Nothing in the app is an instruction to do any of these things.
- Not professional advice. The app is not firearms training, gunsmithing, legal or safety
advice. Get training from a qualified instructor.
The 3-day free trial
- Your free trial lasts 3 days. Nothing is charged and nothing renews.
- On iPhone you start it by confirming a free “3-Day Trial” item with the App Store; on
Android it starts when you tap Start 3-day free trial. There is one free trial per person: on iPhone per
Apple ID, on Android per Apple or Google sign-in.
- When the trial ends, the live calculator, the trajectory and Compare screens, the reticle
view, Range mode for new settings, saving or editing range cards, adding or editing rifle profiles and the
Assistant are locked until you unlock the full app with a one-time purchase.
- Your saved range cards, the Library and your rifle list stay available. A range card you saved can still
be opened in Range mode.
So the features that lock are: the live calculator; the trajectory screen; the Compare screen; the reticle
view; Range mode for new settings; saving range cards; editing range cards; adding or editing rifle profiles;
and the Assistant.
The one-time purchase (Full Unlock)
- The Full Unlock is a one-time in-app purchase. One payment, yours to keep: no subscription and no
renewals.
- In the stores’ terms it is a non-consumable purchase: you buy it once and it does not run out. What
you get is a licence to use the unlocked features of the app under these terms (see
Licence and ownership); the software itself is not sold to you.
- The price is shown by the App Store or Google Play before you confirm, and it is charged to your Apple ID
or Google account when you confirm. A launch price, when one is shown, says the date it goes up. We may
change the price for future purchases; a change never affects a purchase you have already made.
- It unlocks the live calculator, the trajectory and Compare screens, the reticle view, Range mode for new
settings, saving or editing range cards, adding or editing rifle profiles and the Assistant (within the
Assistant’s limits, below).
- The purchase stays with the Apple ID or Google account that paid for it. Use Restore purchases after
reinstalling, on another phone with the same store account, or after signing in to another Good Enough
Ballistic account. On iPhone it is not shared through Family Sharing.
- While purchases are not yet open in your store, nothing is locked.
Refunds
- Purchases are made through the App Store or Google Play, and refunds follow their rules. We do not take
payment or give refunds in any other way.
- App Store: request a refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
We cannot refund App Store purchases ourselves.
- Google Play: request a refund from Google Play (your order history in Google Play; see
Google Play’s refund help). After
Google’s own refund window you can also write to us; we decide each request on its facts, and any
refund we agree to is made through Google Play.
- If a purchase is refunded or revoked, the full app locks again. Your saved range cards stay safe.
- Nothing in these terms takes away a refund right you have under the store’s rules or the law.
The Assistant (AI)
- The Assistant is an optional feature powered by Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic. It needs an Apple
or Google sign-in, is for adults (18+), and asks for your consent before first use. See
About the Assistant.
- The Assistant is included with daily and monthly limits and may change or be withdrawn; your calculator
never depends on it.
- Limits. Each feature has a daily number of requests, and there is a daily and a monthly
allowance; the limits are lower during the free trial. The app shows what is left. We may change the limits,
the features or the AI model at any time, and we may pause or withdraw the Assistant, in part or completely.
Buying the Full Unlock does not guarantee the Assistant or any amount of use.
- Check every output independently. AI can be wrong, even when an answer sounds sure or a
number looks precise: check every number. Answers, conditions read from a description, cartridges read
from a box and load suggestions must be independently checked against the app’s trajectory table,
the ammunition maker’s data and your own shots on paper before you rely on them. Never use an AI
answer as the only basis for a shot.
- What it will not help with. The Assistant is instructed to refuse the following, however
a request is framed (hypothetical, fiction, role-play, “for safety”, “for research”
or “for a story”): making, modifying, repairing or converting firearms, ammunition, suppressors
or accessories, including handloading or reloading data, powder charges, pressure data and case
preparation; effectiveness against people or animals: wounding, lethality, “stopping power”,
shot placement on a living target, or whether a load is “enough” for an animal; armor or
body-armor penetration; anything that targets, threatens, tracks or surveils a person, or helps someone
evade law enforcement or acquire weapons outside the law; where or how to buy firearms, ammunition or
accessories, and prices, retailers or availability; and legal advice beyond “check the laws where you
shoot”.
- Acceptable use. Use the Assistant only for what it is for: the app’s own numbers
for target shooting. Do not use it to:
- plan harm to anyone, or do anything illegal;
- make, modify or convert firearms, ammunition or their parts, or get around the laws on them;
- get, or try to get, any of the help listed above that it refuses;
- put other people’s personal information into a question or a photo;
- send abusive, hateful or sexual content, or try to make it produce such content;
- get around its limits, its safety rules or its instructions (for example with instructions hidden in
a question or a photo), or reach it by automated means.
Anthropic’s usage policy also applies. We may stop
the Assistant for an account that misuses it.
- What you send. Your question, the numbers on screen and any photo you choose are sent to
Anthropic as the Privacy Policy describes. Do not enter anything you do not
want sent. You are responsible for what you enter and for how you use an answer.
- Assistant answers are generated by AI and provided as they are; they are not professional, legal or
safety advice, and no person checks them before you see them.
Accounts and your data
You can use the app as a guest or sign in with Apple or Google to keep your rifles and range cards on every
device. Keep your sign-in secure: you are responsible for what is done with your account. A guest’s
rifles and range cards stay only on the phone, so they are lost if the app is removed or the phone is lost;
keep your own copy of anything important, such as a printed range card.
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete account) or on the web
(Delete your account). What is deleted, what is kept and for how long are on
that page and in the Privacy Policy. Deleting your account does not
cancel or refund a purchase: your Full Unlock stays with your Apple ID or Google account.
Share links you create are public to anyone who has them until they expire. Share only what you are happy
for others to see, and do not put other people’s personal information in rifle names, notes or range
cards you share.
Rules for using the app
You agree not to:
- use the app or our servers in a way that breaks the law or these terms;
- copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent or sublicense the app, or reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble
it, except where the law allows this despite this limit;
- get around the free trial, the purchase check, the Assistant’s limits or any security
measure;
- create accounts or use other people’s accounts to get more free trials or more Assistant use;
- reach our servers other than through the app (for example with scripts, scrapers or automated requests),
overload them, or interfere with anyone else’s use of the app;
- remove or hide any copyright, trademark or other notice in the app.
Licence and ownership
The app, including its design, text, art, data and code, belongs to Bravo Solutions LLC or its licensors
and is protected by law. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the
app on devices you own or control, for your own use, under these terms and the store’s usage rules. We
keep every right we do not expressly give you.
If you got the app from the App Store, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement
also applies, and these terms add to it (see App Store terms). If you got it from Google
Play, the Google Play Terms of Service apply to the download and the purchase (see
Google Play terms). Apple and Google are not responsible for the app or its
support.
The fonts and icons the app uses are open source and are licensed under their own licences (the typefaces
under the SIL Open Font License); the full texts are in the app under About → Licences. Nothing in these terms
limits your rights under those licences.
If you send us ideas, reports or other feedback, we may use them freely and without any obligation to
you.
Changes to the app and its services
We may update the app and change, add or remove features. Some features depend on our servers or on other
companies (sign-in, backup, share links, PDF exports and the Assistant), and we may change, suspend or stop
them, for example for maintenance, security, cost or legal reasons. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you
in the app before a significant change. An old version of the app may stop working with our servers; the app
then asks you to update it.
Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent the law allows, the app, its calculations and data, the Assistant and every other
part of the service are provided “as is” and “as available”, with all faults and
without any warranty of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory.
We disclaim all implied warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a
particular purpose, title, non-infringement and accuracy, and any warranty arising from a course of dealing or
usage of trade. We do not warrant that the app, its numbers or the Assistant’s answers are accurate,
complete or reliable, that the app will be available, uninterrupted, timely, secure or free of errors, that
errors will be corrected, or that your data will not be lost. Some states do not allow implied warranties to
be excluded, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you; any warranty that cannot be excluded is limited
to the shortest period the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- Bravo Solutions LLC and its members, managers, employees, contractors and suppliers are not
liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss
of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or use, arising out of or related to the app or these terms,
even if we were told such damages were possible.
- We are not liable for any loss, damage or injury that comes from relying on the app’s
numbers or the Assistant’s answers without checking them as these terms require, from not following
the safety rules above, or from any shot you take.
- Our total liability for all claims arising out of or related to the app or these terms is limited
to the amount you paid for the app, including the Full Unlock, in the 12 months before the event that gave
rise to the claim, or USD 50 if you paid nothing.
These limits apply whatever the legal theory (contract, tort including negligence, product liability,
strict liability or any other), and even if a limited remedy fails of its essential purpose. Nothing in these
terms limits or excludes liability that the law does not allow to be limited or excluded, such as liability
for fraud, or for gross negligence or willful misconduct where the law does not allow it to be limited. Some
states do not allow the limitation or exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so some of these limits
may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under laws that cannot be limited by
contract.
Indemnity
To the extent the law allows, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Bravo Solutions LLC and its
members, managers, employees and contractors against any third-party claim, and any resulting loss, liability,
damage, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees), that arises from your misuse of the app or the
Assistant, your breach of these terms, your breach of any law or of anyone else’s rights, content you
share, or your use of any firearm or ammunition. We will tell you about such a claim, and we may take part in
the defence with our own counsel at our own cost.
Suspension and termination
- You may stop using the app at any time, and you can delete your account as described above.
- We may suspend or end your access to the app, your account or the Assistant, with or without notice, if
you break these terms, if the law requires it, or to protect other users, us or the service. Where we
reasonably can, we will tell you why.
- When these terms end, your licence ends and you must stop using the app. If we end your access because
you broke these terms, you are not entitled to a refund, except where the store’s rules or the law give
you one.
- The parts of these terms that by their nature should survive their end do so, including safety and
accuracy, the disclaimer of warranties, the limitation of liability, the indemnity, governing law and
disputes, and the general terms.
Governing law and disputes
These terms, and any dispute arising out of or related to them or to the app, are governed by the laws of
the United States and of the state in which Bravo Solutions LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law
rules. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
Before bringing a claim, please write to us at
info@bravodevelopers.io, describe the
problem, and give us 30 days to try to resolve it informally. If it is not resolved, any claim must be brought
in the state or federal courts located in the state in which Bravo Solutions LLC is organized, and you and we
consent to their personal jurisdiction; either of us may instead bring an individual claim in a small-claims
court that has jurisdiction. This does not take away the protection of any consumer law of the state where you
live that cannot be waived by contract.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we post the new version on this page with a new effective date and
change the date at the top. For a significant change, we also tell you in the app before it takes effect. A
change applies from its effective date and does not apply to a dispute that arose before it. If you keep using
the app after that date, the new terms apply; if you do not agree, stop using the app (you can delete your
account at any time).
General terms
- Entire agreement. These terms, with the store terms they refer to, are the entire
agreement between you and us about the app, and they replace any earlier terms. The
Privacy Policy and About the Assistant explain how we
handle your data.
- Severability. If any part of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, that part is
limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the rest of these terms stays in full effect.
- No waiver. If we do not enforce a right or a part of these terms, we do not give it
up.
- Assignment. You may not transfer these terms or your rights under them. We may transfer
them, for example as part of a merger, an acquisition or a sale of the app.
- Other companies’ services. The app relies on services from Apple, Google and
Anthropic. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to their services, and we are not responsible for
them.
- Events beyond our control. We are not responsible for a delay or failure caused by events
beyond our reasonable control, such as an outage at Apple, Google, Anthropic or an internet provider.
- Notices. We may give you notices in the app, on this page or by e-mail to the address on
your account. You agree that these terms, and notices given electronically, satisfy any legal requirement for
a written agreement or notice.
- Headings and summaries. Headings and the “In short” summary are for
convenience only; the full text of these terms applies.
App Store terms (iPhone)
This section applies if you got the app from the Apple App Store. For the iOS app it prevails over anything
else in these terms that conflicts with it.
- The Standard EULA and precedence. Unless the App Store shows these terms as the
app’s licence agreement, Apple’s Licensed
Application End User License Agreement (the Standard EULA) also applies to the iOS app, and these terms
add to it. Where these terms and the Standard EULA conflict, these terms prevail, except that this section
and the Usage Rules of the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions always prevail.
- Acknowledgement. These terms are concluded between you and Bravo Solutions LLC only, and
not with Apple. Bravo Solutions LLC, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content. These
terms do not allow any use of the app that conflicts with the
Apple Media Services Terms and
Conditions, which we have had the opportunity to review.
- Scope of licence. Your licence to the iOS app is a non-transferable licence to use it on
Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services
Terms and Conditions, except that the app may be accessed and used by other accounts associated with you
through Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
- Maintenance and support. Bravo Solutions LLC alone is responsible for providing any
maintenance and support for the app, as these terms say or as the law requires. Apple has no obligation
whatsoever to provide any maintenance or support services for the app.
- Warranty. Bravo Solutions LLC alone is responsible for any product warranties, whether
express or implied by law, to the extent they are not effectively disclaimed. If the app fails to conform to
any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app to you, if
any. To the maximum extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever for the app, and
any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses caused by any failure to conform to a
warranty are, as between Apple and us, our sole responsibility.
- Product claims. Bravo Solutions LLC, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims
by you or any third party relating to the app or your possession and use of it, including: (i) product
liability claims; (ii) any claim that the app fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory
requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws. These terms do not
limit our liability to you beyond what the law permits.
- Intellectual property claims. If a third party claims that the app, or your possession
and use of it, infringes that third party’s intellectual property rights, Bravo Solutions LLC, not
Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim.
- Legal compliance. You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country
that is subject to a US Government embargo, or that has been designated by the US Government as a
“terrorist supporting” country; and (ii) you are not listed on any US Government list of
prohibited or restricted parties.
- Developer name and contact. The developer of the app is Bravo Solutions LLC. Send any
questions, complaints or claims about the app to
info@bravodevelopers.io.
- Third-party terms. When you use the app you must comply with any third-party terms that
apply, such as your wireless data service agreement and the terms of Sign in with Apple.
- Third-party beneficiary. Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party
beneficiaries of these terms. When you accept these terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to
have accepted the right) to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
Google Play terms (Android)
If you got the app from Google Play, the Google Play Terms
of Service apply to the download and the purchase, and they prevail over these terms on how you buy the Full
Unlock and get a refund. These terms are between you and Bravo Solutions LLC, not Google, and Google is not
responsible for the app or its support.
The app is sold by Bravo Solutions LLC. For support, and for any question, complaint or claim about the app
or these terms, e-mail
info@bravodevelopers.io.
