About the Assistant
Good Enough Ballistic · Last updated 2 October 2026
AI assistant · Claude by Anthropic.
The Assistant is for adults (18+). It explains the app’s own numbers for target shooting.
What it does
The Assistant is an optional part of Good Enough Ballistic. Where it is available to you, it can:
- Explain these numbers: explain your trajectory, from Solve, the trajectory screen,
Compare and your range cards.
- Describe conditions: turn a description of the conditions into inputs.
- Assistant (ask): answer questions about your numbers.
- Help me choose a load: compare the app's loads for a goal.
The app lists only the features that are available to you. It won’t help with anything beyond the app’s
own numbers for target shooting; other requests are refused.
AI-generated content
- Answers, explanations, conditions read from a description and load suggestions are
generated by an AI model (Claude, made by Anthropic). Every Assistant
screen is labelled “AI assistant · Claude by Anthropic” and carries an “AI · 18+”
badge.
- The calculator’s holds, tables, charts and range cards come from the app’s ballistic solver,
not from AI. When an answer shows a trajectory or comparison card, the numbers in the card come from the
same solver; the words around them are written by the AI.
- AI can be wrong. Check any number against your trajectory table. Each answer ends with the reminder
“AI can be wrong. Check numbers against your table.”
- The Assistant never changes your settings by itself: conditions or a load it reads are used only when you
tap “Apply to calculator” or “Use this load”.
- The Assistant writes text and cards only. It does not make images, audio or video.
Consent text (version 1)
Before the Assistant sends anything for the first time, the app shows this text and asks you to allow it.
It is the same text as in the app. The notes in grey say where a line depends on your phone or on the
features available to you.

The Assistant is an AI model (Claude, made by Anthropic). It explains the app’s own numbers for target shooting.
What we send
- Your question
- The rifle, load, conditions and results on screen
- We never send your name or e-mail. We send a random code made from your account so abuse can be detected; Anthropic can’t identify you from it.
Anthropic does not train on it and deletes it within 30 days (up to 2 years if flagged for safety review).
What the Assistant does
It can explain your trajectory, turn a description of the conditions into inputs, answer questions about your numbers and compare the app's loads for a goal.
(only the features available to you are named)
It won’t help with anything beyond the app’s own numbers for target shooting.
AI can be wrong. Check any number against your trajectory table.
Your App Store account confirms you’re 18 or older.
(on Android: “Your Google Play account confirms you’re 18 or older.”)
When the store does not confirm your age, a checkbox is shown instead:
I’m 18 or older
Allow and continue Not now
You can withdraw this any time in Profile → AI & Privacy → Withdraw consent.
When the consent text changes in a way that matters, its version goes up and the app asks again.
What is sent and what is kept
Your question, the rifle, load, conditions and results on screen (never your rifle’s name or
notes) and a random account code go to Anthropic. Anthropic does not train on it and deletes it
within 30 days (up to 2 years if flagged for safety review). We keep your consent, usage counters for the
limits and the ratings and reports you send; we do not store your questions or the answers. The conversation
history stays on your phone. The details and how long each item is kept are in the
Privacy Policy.
Limits and availability
- The Assistant is included with daily and monthly limits and may change or be withdrawn; your calculator
never depends on it.
- Each feature has a number of requests per day, and there is a daily and a monthly allowance; they are
lower during the free trial. Profile → AI & Privacy → Usage shows what you have used
and when it resets.
- The Assistant needs a connection, an Apple or Google sign-in and the full app (or the free trial). It is
for adults (18+) and may not be available everywhere.
Reporting an answer
Under every answer (finished, cut short or stopped) you can tap “Good answer”, “Not
helpful” or “Report”. A report asks for a reason (“Wrong numbers”,
“Unsafe or inappropriate” or “Other”) and an optional comment. The report includes
the answer as shown and the cards, nothing else. It is linked to your account and kept 12 months.
How reports are handled. Thanks. We review reports every week. We check each reported
answer against the app’s own numbers. When an answer was wrong, unsafe or inappropriate, we correct the
Assistant’s instructions, tighten or switch off the feature concerned, or stop an account that misuses
it. We do not reply to each report; for anything urgent, write to
info@bravodevelopers.io.
Your choices
- Withdraw your consent at any time: Profile → AI & Privacy → Withdraw consent. The
Assistant will ask for your consent again before it sends anything.
- Show Assistant features, in the same place: Off hides every Assistant button and sends
nothing to the Assistant.
- Clear the conversation on your phone from the Assistant screen.
- Deleting your account deletes your consent, usage counters, ratings and reports
(Delete your account).
